Michelle Addo-Chajet is a yoga and pilates instructor based in Brooklyn, New York. She earned her 500-hour yoga certification from Abhaya Yoga under the guidance of Tara Glazier and completed Shieri Shelly Yamafuji’s Mindful Pilates comprehensive mat training in 2024. Her movement practice became consistent in 2010 upon moving to NYC, finding donation-based yoga and pilates classes an accessible way to explore the city. As a teacher, Michelle strives to empower students of all backgrounds to explore the nuance and strengths of their physical and subtle bodies through encouraging, yet technical, practice. With sequences structured around rational progression, students will find an emphasis on alignment and modifications for their unique physicality. She teaches classes in Vinyasa, Hatha, Restorative, and Yin yoga as well as mat Pilates focusing on mindful movement. Additional studies include ongoing flexibility training with Adriana Bateh.
